If pure veg, all you can eat, spicy Rajasthani and sweet Gujarati, in super chilled AC is what you want, then heading to Rajdhani is a wise idea.
When the doorman greeted me by attempting to apply a tikka to my forehead fear quickly enveloped me.
Was I about to be sucked into a terrifying tourist trap? Looking around I soon realised it was safe. The place was packed with locals and a smattering of foreign faces. It was safe to enter. I add, without a tikka.
Rajdhani is an entertaining eatery. It’s a place where it can be difficult to keep track of what’s happening! One dish arrives after another, after another, after another.
Thankfully the helpful waiters walk you through what dish you are about to eat. But if you are anything like me you’ll soon forget many of the names. You’ll be busy making approving noises as you gobble down the different dishes.
Rumour has it that there’s 72 different rotating menus with a staggering 22,464 delicacies on offer. The menu must be tough to keep track off. I feel sorry for the chefs.
Having been in business for over 5 decades Rajdhani’s has developed a winning formula.
They know how to keep the crowds and me happy.
