Pilgrimage: The Himalayas exhibition

From massive Kumbh Melas held at sacred waters all the way through to huge gatherings in the Himalayan range, India is a place where epic pilgrimages see millions of people on the move.  Gaynor O’Flynn, an artist from the UK, presents Pilgrimage, an exhibition of her extensive personal pilgrimages in the Himalayan range.

Gaynor O’Flynn, a cross disciplinary artist known for her groundbreaking world at the intersection of sound, art and technology, is in Delhi to exhibit her latest work.

Pilgrimage, at the Indian Habitat Centre, is a retrospective exhibition of O’Flynn’s personal pilgrimages in Himalayan range in India and Nepal at the turn of the last century.

On display from 18 – 26 February, before moving to Kathmandu for the International Art Festival from the 24th March  – 9th April 2017, the exhibition documents O’Flynn’s outer and inner journey and the philosophy at the core of her life and art.

Drawing from her body of Himalayan sound, image and text works the exhibition features Limited Edition moving image, art prints, vinyl and fine art book

A celebrated artist, O’Flynn has been described as “Bloody brilliant!” by Artrocker, “Hugely enlightening” LeCool London and “That conscious, cathartic voice” by the BBC
